STEPHEN MARKS
Founder of Mind Body Building
With over twenty-two years of experience in working in the property and hotel industry, Stephen transacted over £1 billion worth of deals as a former partner in a city law firm. Following a 20 year passion in wellness, he formed his company Mind Body Building to advise property owners, corporate occupiers and hotel companies on what it takes to make a healthy space.
Stephen advises additionally on corporate wellness programmes and has worked with Google, BDO and Lanserhof amongst others. He has carried out research work for Delos the company behind the WELL building standard, is a thought leader for the Global Wellness Institute and is qualified as a WELL AP and also part of the WELL Faculty.
Stephen is a qualified yoga, meditation and sleep meditation teacher too and teaches all over the world. He regularly speaks at conferences on sleep, wellness and healthy buildings.
EMMA OSMUNDSEN
Exeter City Living
Emma is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years of professional consultancy experience in property, construction and development. She is currently the Housing Development Manager at Exeter City Council and Client Lead for the Exeter Bus Station Redevelopment Project.
Emma’s career has spanned the private sector in commercial development across Europe and the Charitable Sector within the Church of England. She is an experienced leader of project teams and has a successful track record for delivering complex and challenging developments.
Emma champions low energy and healthy design and has been instrumental in promoting the German Passivhaus and baubiologie standards in the UK.
She has delivered the UK’s first Passivhaus multi-residential development and is presently developing the UK’s first Passivhaus Leisure Centre and Extra Care Home.
TRACEY CHAPPELL
Chappell Wellness Consulting Ltd
Chappell Wellness was founded by Tracey Chappell in 2018. An accomplished and driven leader in Spa, Wellness and Hospitality, Tracey has 28 years’ experience in the sector, working with many of the worlds leading luxury Spas.

Tracey managed the Global Spa Division at ESPA International (providing Technical Design Services, Pre Opening, Recruitment, Global Training and Management Contracts) for 20 years and was instrumental in growing the brand to 500 luxury hotel spas across 55 countries as a multi-channel brand with retail, amenities, spa partnerships and online.
Tracey was directly involved in over 80 openings with groups such as Mandarin Oriental, One&Only and Peninsula and served on the Forbes Standards Advisory Board, Les Roches and Global Wellness Summit Shark Tank Internationally qualified as a therapist, with strong commercial acumen and extensive operational knowledge, Tracey is uniquely qualified to positively impact businesses across a broad spectrum.
James Matthews
Senior Sustainability Consultant
James is a Senior Sustainability consultant responsible for implementing Avison Young's Health and Wellbeing service. A qualified WELL Accredited Professional (AP) and Fitwel Ambassador, able to advise how best to implementing health and wellbeing strategies to the office space.

James provides consultancy services for landlords, developers and occupiers around sustainability and wellness in the built environment; from integrating sustainability and wellbeing into property management activities to full certification services. James is currently advising a large organisation to deliver the WELL Building Standard to a 110,000 sq. ft. office refurbishment in Canary Wharf.
James is also currently working with a developer to deliver the WELL Building Standard for a 95,000 sq. ft. grade A office development in Scotland.
